Meetings

Meetings are as informal as possible, with the business aspect kept to a minimum. They are well attended and draw a range of people, from experienced growers to those just starting out.

There are also opportunities for members to bring along plants for discussion, tips and advice. Help is available with problems encountered with cultivating cacti and succulents from experienced members who are happy to share their local knowledge.

They provide a chance to share your passion amongst like-minded enthusiasts.

Each meeting features:

  • Sales of plants, pots, plant tags, topping stones, pumice, zeolite and spongelite (to members only). Contacts for each are at the bottom of the monthly calendar supplied to each member.
  • A raffle – with something for everyone
  • A monthly bench competition – for all members to show off their plants
  • Talks and presentations
  • Access to lending and reference libraries
  • Socialising with like-minded fellow members
  • Afternoon tea

It is also possible to attend General Meetings as a visitor, for up to three times – you just won’t be able to buy anything.
